Russ' visit to Vegas

Ian is such a smart and good young man.  He was awarded the Golden Eagle Award (You have to get A marks for many years in a row.  He has set a High Standard for his younger Brothers and Sister).  He also was awarded for his abilities in Writing Proficiency, and he was awarded the Great American Award.  He is so amazing.  He loves to read and he knows how to fold agronomy better than anyone I know.  His feet are almost as big as his dad's.  I love Ian and his positive attitude. 

 Rocky is so fun.  He loves to explain stories from TV shows that he has seen.  In school he was awarded medals in Art and Music.  He is such a loving kid.  He was the first to greet me when I walked in the door.  There is such a loving feeling in the home. 

 Roger took over a class for a teacher who was in a serious accident.  He did what I believe no other man would do in his situation.  He took over the class and wrote lessons for his class that he had been teaching up to that point.  He did this while he had been working on so many other things.  Roger was awarded the Maverick Award from the administration.  This award was given by the administration in recognition of his efforts.  Roger is such a good man, with a wonderful wife.  If you have not had the chance to stay at the "Mayo Vegas Bed and Breakfast" you should.  They are so hospitable and loving.  They gather their whole family around you and pour out feelings of welcome and love.  It is the most genuine of things I have experienced in my life.  Mican is a great mother and so organized.  She is so pleasant to be around and I admire the way she treats Roger and her Children.

Emma is what I call, "me, but in female form... but smarter".  She is so artistic and creative.  She was given medals in P.E. and Art.  She arrived back home with her mom from a Devotional and it was so exciting to see her come in the door.  We have a connection that is so special.  I love going down to Vegas to visit.  This was my 3rd time visiting in the last four months.  I am so impressed by the focus Emma has considering she is so creative.  There are few people that have such control over both sides of their brain.  I love Emma and her enthusiasm for life.



David was asleep when I arrived.  He is a sweet boy.  I love watching him interact with his brothers and sister.  I wish I could have spent some time with him before I had to leave.  I am excited to see him next visit to Vegas.

Roger had an accident while swimming at the pool.  The diving board came back up and hit his leg.  It is really bad bruise.  He is doing his best to keep active.  It's important for him to monitor the healing process.
